Kaitlyn Tracey stands accused of slapping a teenage girl on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk after confronting a group of friends wearing patriotic clothing. According to a probable cause affidavit, two members of the group wore sweatpants displaying the words “Trump” and “ICE.” Video released by DHS shows Tracey approaching the teenager, striking her, and walking away without stopping. The victim told police Tracey verbally berated the group before the physical assault occurred.

When officers attempted to stop Tracey at the scene, she refused to identify herself and continued walking along the boardwalk. Investigators later identified her through social media and passport information from her 2024 entry into the United States. Point Pleasant Beach Police Department facilitated a controlled transfer of Tracey into ICE custody following her arrest.

He claimed Tracey had never been in trouble before and posted emotional videos seeking help finding an immigration attorney. Geroni created a fundraising campaign for legal expenses, but the platform removed it for violating terms of service. A spokesperson confirmed the fundraiser violated policies prohibiting legal defense funds for violent crimes. Geroni disputed this explanation, claiming coordinated reporting by supporters led to the removal.
