Our Team

Who We Are

New Way News is produced by a team of writers, editors and contributors who share a conviction: that American renewal depends on ideas argued openly rather than assumed quietly. We come from different corners of the country and different working lives, and we bring that range to what we publish.

New Way News is owned and operated by Brief News.

What Drives Our Coverage

We write for readers who care about liberty, economic opportunity, educational choice, cultural confidence and political integrity. We do not pretend to arrive at a story without a point of view — everyone does, and saying so is more honest than the alternative.

What we do commit to is that our viewpoint shapes which stories we think matter, never whether we report the facts of them accurately.

How We Build a Story

Coverage starts with monitoring wire reports, public records, official statements and regional outlets. A contributor researches the item and drafts it. An editor reviews for factual accuracy, sourcing, tone and fairness to the people involved before it publishes.

Our explanatory pieces — how shutdowns work, how treaties get negotiated, how deficits reach households — go through the same process with additional research time.

Where We Stand, and Where We Draw the Line

Having a perspective is not the same as bending facts to it. We separate what we know from what we argue. We name the people making claims. And we hold ourselves to describing opponents’ positions in terms they would recognise, even when we disagree with them sharply.

Our Editorial Policy sets out those commitments in full.
