Editorial Policy

What This Policy Covers

This policy sets out how New Way News produces its journalism and what readers can expect from it. It applies to every piece we publish.

Our Point of View, Stated Plainly

New Way News writes from a conservative perspective. We think that is better disclosed than disguised. Our perspective informs what we cover and how we frame its significance.

It does not license inaccuracy. A fact does not become optional because it is inconvenient to an argument we like, and we do not publish claims we cannot stand behind.

Sourcing Standards

We attribute. Where our coverage draws on wire services, court filings, agency records, official statements or reporting by other outlets, we link to the original so readers can check it.

Contested claims are attributed to whoever is making them. Where the public record is incomplete, we say so rather than filling the gap with speculation presented as fact.

Fairness to People We Cover

People who are the subject of critical coverage are described accurately, including their own account of events where one is available. We distinguish between what someone is alleged to have done and what has been established. We take particular care with private individuals, who did not choose public scrutiny, and with cases involving minors.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected as soon as confirmed, with a note recording what changed. Material updates to developing stories are dated. We do not quietly delete published work.

Report an error to contact@newwaynews.net.

Independence

New Way News is advertising-supported. Advertisers have no role in selecting, shaping or approving editorial content. Our commercial arrangements do not determine what we cover.

Technology

We use software tools in research, drafting and editing. No article publishes without human editorial review, and we take responsibility for everything appearing under our name.
